We got into Hilton Head yesterday and I couldn't be happier! It's sunny here this morning but yesterday, that was a different story. But more on that later.
I think the worst part of going on vacation (other than packing) is traveling to your destination. However, with the right travel companions and a, dare I say, perfect playlist, traveling is the best part! About three hours of music, fun, and sun, right?!
Nope.
Yep. That's rain. Lots and lots.

Anyway, we got through the rain, passed through some of the best named towns, spent some money at Target, and got to Hilton Head around sundown. After unpacking and relaxing, we went to dinner.
I never have regrets (read: try not to), but I truly regret not taking a picture of my dinner last night. It was amazing! We went to a local barbeque restaurant called The Smokehouse, which had a great atmosphere, awesome food, and oh so cute waiters. I had the ribs, mac & cheese, and baked beans, while my friend had the brisket, mac & cheese, and roasted vegetables. But the highlight of the meal was definitely the cornbread. OMG THE CORNBREAD.
Even though I had eaten Smokehouse barbeque before, for some ridiculous, unfounded reason, I had never had their cornbread. It is safe to say that, last night, I had the best cornbread I have ever had. It was sweet and creamy and just, gah, perfect. My friend teased me saying that I would be raving about this cornbread forever and, you know what, she may be right!
That was pretty our day: good music, not so good weather, and good eats. There will definitely be more posts about delicious food and fun adventures. Now, off to enjoy the island!!
